River Hotel of Southport

The staff was Awesome! One of the women actually came out with an umbrella and accompanied me to my vehicle so I wouldn't get soaking wet because it was raining. The price was great considering all u get with your room and the view was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and our room was freshly clean and it was just an overall wonderful stay. I highly recommend this place if u want a laid back peaceful vacation with beautiful views and wonderful people!!!

Just back home from visiting Southport. The weather was dreary but it was nice to be surrounded by the comfort of this hotel. Very clean, room was spacious and enjoyed the availability of the kitchen. Close to downtown within walking distance if the weather had been better, guess just means have to go back!

Very nice place. Just need a light over the eating table. Had to put a lamp on the table at night to have light to eat. Because the other lights in the ceiling are on the other side of the room. Besides that it was a wonderful place to stay. I will be staying there again.

I stayed at the River Hotel over the Thanksgiving Holiday. My stay was amazing, and it all started with making reservations and communicating with the manager, Sali. I have traveled extensively over the years, however, I have never met a more personable, caring, and happy person. Salt made my trip awesome before I even arrived to the hotel. I have never been more delighted. The hotel is charming, quiet, and right on the Cape Fear River. It was so peaceful and enjoyable sitting on my room balcony enjoying morning coffee. I could watch the plethora of birds, ferries, and barges. Totally relaxing!!! The room was immaculate, the beds are very comfortable, and I put the full size refrigerator to use. The entire staff's attitude is to exceed your expectations and delight you. The two young ladies that clean the rooms are kind and personable. Downtown Southport is only a minute drive down the road and the Ferries are right down the street also. The location could not have been better. I ended my trip with checkout with Lori, and she also, was amazing!

Great stay on water front. Cost was reasonable. Super views from 3rd floor
