Lovely! Could live there!

Judy said we were okay not to leave a credit card deposit after viewing the property so we could go to our boat tour and grab cash to stay for two nights (at the B&B). Came back 2 hours later to give her cash to pay up front as we were told we needed to do. She ended up selling the room out from under us. Her answer to not letting us stay was because she “read us” when we left because my husband went to grab his phone of a wall charger when leaving. They are unbelievably unprofessional and I can completely understand why this property is for sale for so long and has a worse rating than the Wyndham, which we actually cancelled In order to stay at Brunswick Inn. Now we are without a place to stay for two nights on Memorial Day weekend, thanks Judy!! Your neighbors offered for us to stay with them, too bad you couldn’t live up to your word.

I cried when we left!!! My sister brought me to Southport for my birthday and we stayed with Judy & Jim Clary at their B&B, Brunswick Inn. What an amazing place. Lovingly restored, colorful, yet tasteful historical home.nnEvery morning there was a delicious breakfast and early evening drinks with a snack. It was the perfect place to chill. Not loud, everyone was quiet, yet friendly. We could engage with others as much or as little as wanted. I couldn't decide where to sit while there, as the music room, upstairs conservatory, library, or any of the 3 porches were all calling to me.nnEarly morning coffee before breakfast was always in the side garden on the Adirondack chairs where we bird watched, as there were so many! Wonderfully located in town, off Bay St., by the water, that we could walk to get places and be back to rest on the verandas before popping out to shop or eat or go on adventures. Judy suggested a place to eat and a boat tour, both of which were fab!nnThis is the place if you want a quiet space yet wish to speak to other folks of all manner of topics, and then go out and tour the town. Def NOT for the partying types and for that I was soooo grateful! Miss you both! Thanks for the gracious hospitality, great stories, and fabulous food.
