Robert Ruark Inn

Absolutely loved our stay at the beautiful Robert Ruark Inn! Our room was wonderful, ambiance was so relaxing, and breakfast was delicious! Thank you, Rick and Linda, for making us feel at home and providing us with a perfect 29th wedding anniversary! We will be back for sure!

The Robert Ruark Inn offers an excellent location for exploring Southport, NC. The Inn is cozy, well-stocked, and comfortable. The owners excel in making their guests feel welcome. The meals are excellent, as is the afternoon wine, cheese, crackers, and other snacks. The rooms are quiet and offer very good privacy. Bicycles are available to use, and a narrated history tour of Southport is also provided by the owner via electric passenger cart.

Absolutely amazing experience! Linda & Rick are fabulous hosts and the historical inn is exemplary! Amazing breakfast included! Southport is a beautiful small coastal town with fabulous restaurant, shops and beaches. The ferry to Fort Fisher is a must to the Aquarium!

This is a exceptional appointed B&B in a great location with wonderful owners in Rick & Linda. The home is clean, quiet with tons of history of Southport and the original owner of the house. Breakfast each day was quite tasty and welcoming with other guests at the property. Rick also provides a complimentary guided tour and he has an extensive knowledge of the town. This was great because in just a short trip around town in his golf cart, one is able to get to get an idea of places to explore and how best to see the area albeit, walking, bicycle or car. Rick is attentive to guests needs but also respects your privacy if you just want to relax. Wonderful stay and one I certainly will return to.

Authentic Victorian era home that is well kept. Victoria's room has a king 4 poster bed with a fireplace. Large bathroom with amazing shower. Absolutely love this home and the area. Owners are friendly and very accommodating.
