Riverside Motel

Have always wanted to stay there and my husband and I did this past Thursday and Friday night. The room was just what we needed and loved the swing on the back porch watching the boats and birds. So peaceful plus so convenient to walk downtown, to the marina plus we were close to Oak Island to spend the day and not have to drive home. Made me want to MOVE there. The owners are SO friendly, love them and their personality; Ellen called me by name (and I'm sure she talks to a LOT of people in her business). We will be back

My family loves staying here. The view is amazing. The staff and owners are great and excellent service. The rooms are always very clean and smells great. You have your own porch swing and can smell all the wonderful food from all the restaurants nearby. You are within walking distance to shopping and restaurants.

The sweetest motel ever! The owners were friendly, the location was perfect, the rooms were clean and cozy. The ONLY complaint is that the beds are full size, and my husband and I just could not sleep in the same bed. Super minor complaint in the whole picture. The owners let us use their swing since we didn’t have a river view room. It was SO peaceful and calming. What a wonderful way to celebrate our 10th anniversary!

I have stayed here many times over the years and have always been impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and wonderful views of the Cape Fear river. It had been a few years since I stayed and I did notice that the restaurant next door added an outdoor dining area which was pretty noisy late into the night so that is something to keep in mind.

We came up for a weekend getaway. The motel is in a great location, great view, great service! Owners are super friendly!! We highly recommend staying here!
