Oddly enough, I've never been into a REI, but I definitely will again. We met Bo, who was super knowledgeable and even more friendly. She does the art on the signs hanging around. Wonderful experience, she got us signed up as members. We'll be returning, for sure.
I love REI! I got an unused, lightweight sleeping pad for less than $50, just because it was a display item. The people who work there are always super helpful, and if they don’t have an answer they know someone who does. The one time co-op fee is the best $20 you’ll spend if you’re into anything outdoorsy.
