Walgreens

Switched to Walgreens pharmacy from Walmart because with my insurance, it's cheaper. The pharmacists are friendly, and they are very helpful with any questions I have about concerns that may interact with otc drugs I need while on the prescriptions I am currently on. I receive a text when my prescriptions are ready. The wait when picking them up either in store or the drive through is usually very quick.nI am happy I've made the switch.

First time in this store, very impressed with the staff! They went out of their way to be helpful and very friendly!!! Definitely will shop there again!!!

I won’t be back! Since this pharmacy has changed to Walgreens it has been horrible and extremely unprofessional. I went with my mom when they first changed over because her doctor called her in 2 prescriptions...when we got there they gave her one prescription and told her that there was only one called in. I became persistent only to find out that there was a second prescription but they were waiting for a call back from the doctor before filling it.nOk so say so!nnOn another occasion I had my husband pick up a prescription for a controlled substance for me. There were 15 pills in the bottle and there was supposed to be 30! When he got home I realized the error and had to bring it back. Part of their check system is to have a second count on the pills and the bottle is to be initialed—this was not done—-I had to wait 20 minutes for them to do a recount on the stock bottle!nnI went there today for a prescription and it was expensive through my insurance and I could get it for almost half with Good RX. They didn’t want to run the coupon but they did. They ran the coupon and told me it was going to be $5 more than the coupon. I have never had a pharmacy change the price of a good RX coupon. By the way this same prescription at Kroger, Giant and Costco was $20-23 less with good RX. I happened to be sick and this was the closest pharmacy. Trust me if I had felt well I would have said forget it. Mind you that I work in the medical field and deal with pharmacies on a daily basis. Most are very helpful and actually look for a discount for their customers without them even asking when they see the price. Also their customer service needs to be more friendly and professional. By the way I was never asked for my birthdate or to sign for my prescription which I have had to do at other pharmacies.

Beware! Transferred a prescription from Walmart for convenience. Walmart charged $10 for the medication, but Walgreens charged almost $100. I commented that seemed awfully high and was told I had 7 days to receive a price match refund. When I provided proof I’d only paid $10 at Walmart, I was told I would not receive a refund because the medication was for a pet. Not sure why that’s even a factor? I will never fill another prescription or purchase anything from Walgreens again. I’m not interested in giving them another opportunity to rip me off!
