Truly captures Virginia between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah valley. Chris and Linda are the sweetest and most professional housekeepers. My girlfriend and I escaped the city for a while for an outdoorsy get away before it got too cold. I highly recommend the Llama Trek and checking out the sweet little town of Lexington amongst other state landmarks like the Natural Bridge. I loved the conversations over a sweet and savory apple, ham, and cheese omelet for breakfast; while finishing the day with a couple glasses of wine in our private hot tub off the main room.

The Applewood Inn was a fantastic getaway for my vacation! The owners are very friendly and kind, and the food was terrific! I would recommend this amazing place to relax and enjoy nature to anyone- especially to family. Hopefully I can swing coming and visiting again sometime. The llamas were awesome as well- a truly phenomenal place for vacation/ family & the rates were very reasonable.

Chris and Linda are gracious hosts and the property is beautiful. We stayed in the Blue Ridge Room and appreciated the large bathroom with the whirlpool tub. Breakfast was delicious and we really enjoyed our llama trek with Jonas. We visited the Natural Bridge, which is close by, and went into Lexington for a nice dinner. This is a great place to get away for a quiet, relaxing weekend. I wish we had more time to stay!

My husband and I stayed here for our babymoon, our last vacation before our first child! We enjoyed ourselves so much! We really liked the fact that there was limited internet and cell service because it gave us a chance to disconnect from the world, which is exactly what we wanted. We sat on the enclosed porch and read our books and watched the llamas on the hillside. It was gorgeous. Chris cooked really great breakfasts for us and had great suggestions for sights to see and activities to do in town. Lots of historical sights and museums in Lexington that we visited for free. Perfect mountain getaway.

This B&B has beautiful scenery with llamas visible in their pasture frequently; personable welcoming innkeepers; & a comfortable, clean cottage with a lovely garden of flowers. Take your climbing shoes as the gravel roads are at a~35degree angle! We did enjoy our peaceful stay very much. ud83cudf1d (FYI -The 1mile gravel drive in is one lane along side a babbling brook.)
