Historic in just as described... Went for dinner Sunday to get a break from the tourist spots in Gettysburg..... Staff was very friendly especially to our special needs child (Thank you!!!) Service, food and atmosphere was perfect. George came out after dinner and greeted us... we are from NY where he went to the Culinary institute in Hyde Park. I hate Kale... but the way it was made was absolutely fantastic... crab soup was top notch... if your in Gettysburg area and need to get away from the tourism, take a ride down to Mansion House.. it is worth the 10 min Drive!!!

We recently tried the Mansion house for dinner. The ambiance is great - just what a 250 yr old farmhouse/tavern should look like. However, I wish the food was as good and the prices were not as high. South Central PA is tough for a fine-dining restaurant - people have to feel their food quality is commensurate with the price. After this experience and paying well over $100, I cannot agree. A dinner had to be returned for being undercooked. The sea bass was cold. The staff is very friendly and competent. Bread service was an additional charge ($6) - that is crazy...

Every thing that makes a visit to a restaurant memorable.nThe food was excellent, the service was superb.nThe staff from the cook to our hostess along with the young lady that brought us our drinks and. (by the way one of the best Irish coffees )I have ever had was unique in that she brought to our Table an atmosphere of true warmth.nA evening well worth the drive up from Middletown Md.n“I am going back for sure”

Sheer perfection! Even got to meet the head chef and his wife who are the new owners. Incredible wine list with affordable pricing. This historic gem is beautiful inside and out. Staff was also top notch. I will be back next time i'm back in Gettysburg.

Great historic stone inn close to Gettysburg.George and his wife made us feel right at home. And the dinner was superb! (And now I know where to get wine glasses!) it has the old time wonky floorboards and stoic mattress, nevertheless, we slept like baby’s. Thoroughly good stay!nGT from Boston
