Historic Anchorage Hotel

I am very disappointed at this hotel. The heating was not working properly the two night stayed there in March. My lotion bag went missing after I used it in the morning. Called and asked the front desk; she said I will check on it and call me back which never did. I called again few hours later, another receptionist said he will look into it and called me back in 3 minutes stating that he didn't find it. Talked to the manager in the next morning, the manager and two housekeepers said they checked the trash and didn't find anything. The manager kept asking me if I left it somewhere else and she said she believed in her housekeepers; sounded like I made up the whole story.(which I did not make it up!) She said I am sorry but didn't seems sincerely. Also one of the housekeepers left a comment stating that's crazy.nMy friend and I did not ask for any compensation. We just wanted to get the problem fixed or get my lotion bag with all the items in it; however, we did not appreciate their attitude towards this situation.nI would not recommend to stay at this hotel.

Another great stay here! The staff are friendly, helpful, and professional. The rooms and beds are comfortable, and it's a great downtown location. And the hot breakfast in the morning is very nice. Looking forward to next time!

I paid for two nights and there was no problem while staying there until after the second day I went to the front desk to pay for one more night and the lady said I could and it was paid for. Then a few hours later the manager lady was knocking at the door and trying to open the door. I answered and the first question out of her mouth was how old are you. I told her I am 19 and she gave me a big attitude about how you have to be 21 to stay there. THEN WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME UNTIL THE THIRD NIGHT?? They should have told us when we first checked in. We had to leave and walk in the snow while being $144 short. I called a little bit after we left and a man at the front desk answered and told me the manager lady could call me back. I didn’t receive ANY call text email or anything. They stole my hard earned money and I need my refund. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Cute old historic hotel. It has a beautiful bar that unfortunately is no longer open. I would have given it 5 stars if it was. The owners really need to take all the pictures of it down because that is partially what lured me to that hotel; rather misleading.

Thank you once again, we always enjoy are stay. Howe have recommended many of our friends . Looking forward to our next visit.
