I requested a quote from several different roofing companies. State was the first to show up. This guy was at my house for no less than 4 hours trying to sell me his “products”. I let the estimator know I had additional bids I was looking into. The counter to that....”I’ll show you why you do not need any other bids”. Albeit the estimator had some valid points, I would never consider using a company that charges twice as much as their competitors with a worse warranty. He showed me EXACTLY why I needed other bids. I can not speak to their work as I assume it’s great, but never ever tell someone you do not need to get quotes in sales. If you believe you are the best, you should absolutely encourage someone to get additional quotes.
