We held our wedding at the Lodge last December and it was the best possible location for us! Jeanie was SO helpful and accommodating, she helped us every step of the way and helped make our out of town wedding possible. She worked with us to find an option that worked within our budget, she coordinated with our guests who chose to stay at the Lodge, and she helped with last minute, day-of craziness! The venue was absolutely stunning, too; it was the perfect place for our snowy winter wedding, and the full-sized kitchen was super helpful for our caterer. We were able to take photos with family outside and we got married in front of the big river rock fireplace, so our wedding photos turned out so beautifully. After the wedding, Jeanie even helped us get some stuff back that we accidentally left behind so we didn't have to drive all the way back to McCall. All in all, HIGHLY recommend!

I wish there were enough words to express how awesome the team at Bear Creek Lodge are! We had the privilege of being involved with the Idaho Sled Dog event and the lodge was the hub. Jennie, Michelle & Jeremiah were more than accommodating. Their efforts made the event possible & successful. These three were with us every step If the way. HUGE Kudos to them!

The staff was awesome, and the cabin was incredible. Gorgeous scenery!!! Jeannie who runs the lodge made our stay 1st class. We'll diffently be back..

We booked the lodge for our wedding at the end of June 2018. I am writing this review to provide information for groups/couples that are considering the lodge for similar events. For reference, the current owners bought the property sometime in 2016 or 2017.nnThe pros:n-Lodge is in a beautiful, secluded settingn-Rooms, cabin, and lodge are clean and well-maintainedn-McCall is a great place to have a wedding, especially if you have a lot of out-of-town guests looking for fun things to donnThe cons:nOur experience with the owners and ever-changing management made the planning process and wedding stressful and unpredictable. During the 8 month period between booking the lodge and our wedding, we had to work with 3 separate managers. We now realize the owners and management were never on the same page, as we were promised different things by each manager that were then disputed by the owners. As one example, we were told by each manager we spoke with that it was no big deal for some of our guests to camp on the grounds for free (as part of the wedding package, you have exclusive use of the lodge for 3 days and 2 nights). When I asked for our cleaning deposit back after the wedding, the owners attempted to charge me an additional $400 for all of the camping families and claimed that I had never mentioned that some of our guests would be camping.nFor me, one of the most disappointing aspects of our experience was that the owner, who was on-site the weekend of our wedding, never came up to me, my husband, or our parents to shake our hands, introduce himself, or thank us for investing $10,000 + in his business. When I voiced some concerns after the wedding, I was met with hostility and basically called a liar. The only thing that saved the wedding for me was the beautiful setting and the love of our friends and family who came to celebrate with us.nThink twice before investing your time, money, and emotional capital with this business.

75 acres of fantastic scenery, lots of great hiking. The lodge is very majestic and the rooms and cabins are amazing too.
