If you in South Tahoe and have a Nevada doctor, your choices are limited for pharmacies. I loved working with the South Carson Save Mart so much, I actually made the long(30 min.) drive, out of choice. At Save Mart, I experienced quick service, accurate and in-stock prescriptions and polite service. I finally had to stay local due to work conflict, but I miss Save Mart!

I've been using these guys for well over a year now, after losing my insurance and not being able to pay Walgreen's extortionist prices.nnDespite the fact that they are extremely low-tech (really no-tech), I can't imagine ever going anywhere else in the future, insurance or not. Despite the fact that sometimes I miss being able to request refills and check my prescriptions online, I've found something else that I forgot existed - great personalized service and real people!nnYes, I have to call them and speak to someone every time I need a refill. I don't believe they even have a phone option to plug in your Rx number. But, I get to speak to a real live person!nThey've greeted me by name and knew what I was there for from the second time I picked up a prescription. I was almost floored that they remembered me, since I had to tell Walgreen's my name every time, even after 5 years.nnThey know I'm a cash patient and have done everything they can to make my prescriptions affordable - I've never had to give them a goodrx or other discount number.nnI've had issues with every pharmacy I've ever used - it's bound to happen. Walmart in every state is a disaster - I don't even bother anymore - and others either take longer than they quote (not always their fault), or continually run out of medications I fill every month, sending me scrambling to find an affordable option nearby. They don't even bother calling you to tell you they're out - I've shown up well after the time they said it would be ready only to find out it couldn't be filled at all with no warning. Then I have the option of going without necessary medication for a day or two, or being really late to work bc I have to call around to see if it's in stock and affordable, then drive to another pharmacy and wait at least 45 minutes to fill.nI haven't had A SINGLE HICCUP with Savemart. They are fast, efficient, friendly, and always have my medications in stock. My prescriptions are ALWAYS ready when (or before) they tell me they'll be ready for pickup.nnIf I have a problem, like being stuck in San Diego when my prescription is due, they help me resolve it.nnI've also seen the same people every time since I've been going there. Other pharmacies seem to have a much higher turnover rate, which means less personal service. It also says something about the company if they can't keep good people for more than a few months, and more mistakes happen when there are new employees constantly.nnI'm confused about the review that says they got knockoff medication - I've been on all of my medications for many, many more years than I've been going to Save Mart, and I've never had an issue with the quality or noticed they don't work as well as in the past. That includes any pain medication I've had to fill.nnTLDR; Great service and great prices - the kind of personal service you forgot existed since the dawn of the internet.

In September 2018 I took a monthly prescription to Savemart for filling. I normally use Walmart Supercenter Pharmacy in South Carson City for the last several years for all my medicines.nnWalmart jacked up the price of Norco four times to $1/per pill. Walmart now refuses to take senior discount cards or coupons for a growing number of banned opioid & other meds such as anti depressants, muscle relaxant meds or anti seizure meds, also mild anti anxiety sedatives, sleep meds etc.nnSavemart pharmacy filled my prescription for a third of Walmart’s price, but still would not take my Gold GoodRX card or any discounts.nnWhat I got from Savemart Pharmacy were tainted compromised pills that had a strong sweet taste (not bitter), like sugar or propylene glycol & they were lower on hydrophone amount because they provided no pain relief. I’m not someone who thinks taking more will improve the quality of a medicine for pain! So I knew they were probably toxic substitutes from manipulated mixtures.nnSo I tried to return them after taking a few with very bad results. Not only would he not give my money back for the pills I could not use, but gave me no means to dispose of them properly!nnThe Norco was obviously tainted or bunk (placebos) but somehow they get from the China manufacturer through our FDA! Scary!! And to the apparently unsuspecting pharmacists who do not analyze or inspect their products for further safety precaution.nnI got VERY sick off those pills. Bad headaches (I never get headaches) and vomiting, flushing, disorientation and a zombie like trance. No pain relief at all!nnBuyer beware! Many pharmacies in Nevada by October 2018 are using new Chinese manufacturers & denying filling prescriptions or charging exorbitant prices for bunk meds! They are following the example of Walmart.nnPharmacies are not safer anymore than buying meds online or off the street. Be careful, talk to your doctor if this happens to you, get off all blacklist meds, and try to find competitive honest pharmacies that still offer discounts.nnWhat they are doing now (severe restrictions or pulling certain effective drugs off the market), will not curb the Opioid Crisis, but non-abusers such as a great number of seniors over 60 are getting punished by price increases and their health needs disregarded.

These folks have been my family's home pharmacy for many, many years and their service and willingness to help have been exemplary. We do all of our grocery shopping a few blocks away at Raley's, but we always come back to Save-Mart for their pharmacy.
