This was probably a very nice place at one time. I stayed in the best accommodations in the hotel, the presidential suite, it was nicely decorated but could have been maintained better. The property is old and historical that makes it nice but it is not being maintained or kept clean enough, either inside or out. The city has built up around it and is a very rough place. At one time I'm sure this was a gem, and with some love it could be a lot better than it is now, but its location is probably not going to improve, which will probably ultimately be its downfall.

My wife and I had lunch here a couple of years ago and the meal and service were excellent. Price was modest. Fast forward to January 2021 we decided to see what it would be like to spend the night here. After awhile we decided to upgrade our room. Tiffany grabbed a handful of keys and and gave us a tour. The rooms are beautiful. The room with the balcony was rather whimsical. We decided to just move to the next door Lucille Ball room which was bigger. Loved it. So comfy. So warm. Tiffany said she would do anything to make us happy. And she did. Service here is awesome. Food is tasty. Thank you El Rancho for treating us like movie stars.

We’ve stayed here twice now. The first time was lovely, the people here are so friendly! The second time they actually remembered us. I was flattered. ❤ufe0f❤ufe0f The hotel is clean and adorable. The restaurant breakfast is yummy. Coffee is hot and good. And the ladies working in the gift shop and the restaurant are SO incredibly nice! Cant recommend El Rancho enough.nnOh. It is haunted. The ghosts tended to mess with my kids. That’s fine with us. We love the paranormal. But something to keep in mind...

The place is epic historic. Like a national park hotel. It has class that none of the new box hotels have. The staff was above and beyond gracious and accommodating. If you want an experience, stay a night. If not your loss. Thank you El Rancho Hotel.

Let me be clear I did not stay here. The bar and restaurant were closed, so I didn't eat or drink there either. I wish the bar was open because it did look inviting, and has a rich history as seen in many pictures in the lobby. This hotel has a rich history, we found it interesting to explore. A real wood burning fireplace was warming the lobby. The on-site native American store had plenty of cool items and the lady helping us was great, bought some turquoise jewelry and a t-shirt at a fair price. If in the area I definitely recommend checking it out.
