Front desk service awesome! Room was great. Nice view of the city. Towels super soft. Cleanliness top notch. Downside that prevented 5 stars my room I reserved on the app was given to someone else and wasn't contacted. The park next door is overrun by homeless people. It was suggested to park in the garage for $10. When I was there a vagrant was bothering a guest

The infamous "by Hilton" hotel. With a reputable name brand you would think you'll receive, somewhat, a 1st class service. Unfortunately, it didn't happen to me. First, front desk service was not friendly. Lets say the "gentleman" (just to be nice, and I'll keep him nameless, but ID him with tattoos on his left forearm: at least 2 thick bands wrapped, his long sleeve covered the rest) tried to but you can read his demeanor that it was an inconvenience for him to assist you. I had a long day and this is the last thing I want to experience. I had to wait about an hour to check-in. Second, my room was a one bedroom like suite. The kitchenette had what you needed. The TV in the living room didn't work so well, but the TV in the bedroom did. The shower had low pressure. Maintenance came, fixed it and it was fine. The pullout couch bed, in the living room. It looked clean but it wasn't clean. I was too tired to be picky and wanted to clean up, go to sleep, and get out quick. Third, breakfast was available, included with your stay. I don't expect a fancy breakfast but due to COVID your breakfast was bagged to go. The content in each bag was not consistent. Each had two or more items missing and one bag had four additional items. It appears the staff were tossing items in. The bag looks like a poor man's meal, but I'm not complaining (just giving future patrons a heads up). Fourth, parking is not free ($10). Not sure if it's per night. Getting out of the garage was another problem. The ticket didn't scan, then the machine wouldn't accept the CC, but we got out with the help of the morning staff. As you can see, my experience was not great. I was looking forward to leaving the next day. Imagine if I had stayed longer. My experience may not be the norm, but I hope future patrons does not go through what I did. In my opinion, had the front desk staff was more helpful, I don't think other incidents would matter to me and I may laugh it off, but the initial experience started a chain of events. *****I would not go back. Period.***** PS: the maintenance person was very helpful. He can tell we were tired and did whatever it takes for us to be comfortable. I want to thank him (I didn't see his name).

Run by professional, friendly staff, Homewood Suites is a relaxing place to stay in Salt Lake City. The rooms feature well-equipped kitchens, along with dining areas and lounges for a home away from home experience. Guests can take full advantage of the outdoor pool, laundry facilities, and a modern gym. As a bonus, there is a free daily breakfast each morning – a great way to start the day. Location: Staying here means being close to the Amtrak Station, as well as within walking distance of Salt Palace Convention Center. The Vivint Smart Home Arena is just a ten-minute stroll from the hotel.

Clean, modern, comfortable and in a great location. The staff members were polite and attentive. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay: full kitchen, spacious suites, beautiful patio with a pool and a beautiful view, gym, and parking. There is a sushi restaurant next door and on the weekends a market at the park. I enjoyed my stay here!

The hotel is nice and clean inside, rooms are neat and modern. However, construction of the building is odd. My room had a view of the hotel roof with a noisy tower full of humming equipment of some sort 6ft from the window. What's double odd, this roof is connected to hotel roof patio and anyone can walk up to your 3rd floor room and check out the inside. The neighborhood is shady. We took a walk in the park across the road - it seemed clean at first but had four groups of homeless people in the grass with their junk all over. We saw a man injecting himself in his arm, a group consuming something that looked like liquor and a man relieving himself underneath a tree. The parking is in a private garage and costs extra. The garage barely had 7' clearance and the exit wasn't closed - basically anyone of the vagrants roaming around the hotel can walk in and hang out around the parked cars. Bottomline - if you're on a business trip and have to stay in the area, may be a good choice if you're lucky with the room selection. If you're on a leisure road trip, I'd look elsewhere.
