It's cheap and convenient student housing.

This place is the least understanding apartment I have ever lived in. The apartments themselves are gross and they don’t care to clean them before you come to live here. They don’t want to help you and are very cold and harsh to their tenants. I would advise you not to live here if you have any other options take them and live a happy life other places.

i had a pretty good time at the lodge. granted there are better places avaliable. i didnt have a car so the whole unassigned first-come-first-serve parking scene didnt really bother me. the whole place does have a run-down sort of feel to it, and it sure isnt pretty to look at on the outside, but it worked for me. it's kinda like playing russian roulette with appartments when you rent here. i dont even know if the whole "first come first serve" rule applies. more like "you sign up, we put you where you fit". 5 chances out of 6 you'll be alright. rent is cheap enough. $300 per month (plus $300 security deposit and a $50 means $650 for the first month) however all the rooms are different sizes. also the kitchens are for everyone, but it's a tad impractical to try and do every meal there. your best bet is to make good use of your mini-fridge and whatever storage space you can find. things tend to break while you are there - luckily nothing broke in plumbing, but in the two semesters i was there the electronic lock died and needed a battery replacement (this was complicated by the #1 door being closed, #2 they needed to be on the other side of the door to fix it and it was locked shut, and #3 i was in a second floor appartment), the actual plug for the heater/airconditioner gave out and needed replacement, and the key-card was easily de-magnitised (and sometimes the manager wasnt avaliable to re-program it). and if you try to shower at the same time as everyone else, its not going to be that hot. best bet is to try and make a schedule where you shower after 9 or even 10. then the hot water is endless. i should add that utilities is included in rent, so take advantage of it. the plus side of all of this is that repairs are free, and even if it takes a bit to get the guys there they do a good job in fixing whatever was broken. also the laundry is a bit pricey but not too bad. it's coin run and was $0.75 per wash, $0.50 per dry, but that could have gone up in the past 2 years. and some people can be jerks about wanting to dry their clothes so dont take too long when you do yours. the only reason why i didnt look for anywhere else while i was there was because i made some pretty good friends and it was good enough.

Worst place to live. It's super expensive for the crappy room you have. Run and don't look back. This place sucks
