Took a little trip to Providence last month. Driving up its a very nice hotel and the check in process was just as easy. Didn't necessarily know what kind of room I booked so when I wanted to change, the hotel desk, was very accommodating. I got a room that over looked the state capital and it was a very beautiful room and very spacious. Very clean and comfortable bed.nA little bit of a walk to the city but on a nice day its not so bad. Cute little town but again a lot of things closed because of COVID. They only had valet parking which is nice. No amenities were available but they had restaurants that were offering take out.

Normally I have a great experience here but my current experience is awful. First the room I have is smaller than their normal rooms and I've stayed here several times before. Second the remote to the TV doesn't work. I called the front desk and I now have to wait to get this issue fixed. My check in time was 4pm, maybe I'm asking for a lot but I would expect everything in my room to be fully operational. Also there's a noisy vent in the bathroom that never turns off. Definitely my the worst experience I've had at this hotel in the last couple years and now I unfortunately will be reconsidering my stays here.

Nice hotel . Parking and valet highway Robbery they charged my credit card 96 $ for parking when you can self park. They refuse to drop the charge the valet stated he pulled 3 cars up for my room when we only had 1 vehicle I have called numerous times about this charge and the response is there is nothing we can don!!! Be aware of the parking charges before you book

My family and I stayed at this hotel in August 2020 for three nights (8/22-8/24)nWe arrived at Renaissance after a horrible prior night in Hilton at Providence. Ana, the front desk service, provided outstanding accommodation to my family. She understood our concerns. Ana was helpful beyond what is required from the front desk personnel. She accommodated us with a beautiful penthouse and a fantastic view of the capitol building. The bar was open (with some apparent restrictions). The hotel and rooms were spotless. Sheets were changed regularly. My family and I are incredibly grateful to Anna’s care and professionalism, and everyone in this hotel that made this possible. She was full of joy, smile, and appreciation for being in this hotel throughout our stay.nRenaissance become the only place we want to sleep while in Providence
