Adorable place to stay and all the staff that we dealt with were all pleasant. Everything is older and feels it, but it was comfortable and clean. As a Chicago area native, it wasn't the best pizza I've ever had, but for traveling around pizza, it was very good. Interesting tables and seating throughout the lodge to enjoy the food or a few board games if you brought them. 10/10, will stay again.
Clean and well run. The rooms are a little over $200 but the lake views are nice. They have a bar and a restaurant. I recommend the pizza and brisket..The price for things is a little higher but it is a vacation destination of sorts. Very accessible with an indoor and outdoor pools. Very cozy.
Went for a family gathering and enjoyed the experience all around. The bar was well stocked with everything from porters to pilsner. Bourbon and top shelf scotch were also on hand for those with a different taste. The menu is American fare and not so busy that it had you questioning the chef. The prices were very reasonable especially for the quality and quantity on the plate. The place was tidy the server's were quick, courteous and concise. I would suggest it to anyone looking for a quiet and a wonderful place to eat in a quaint atmosphere.
If I could give it a 10 star, i would. Beautiful lodge , good food, nice indoor and outdoor pools, in season. Nice bar. Elevator, gaming room, Starbucks, fireplaces, and really nice views from the lodge of the lake. Been going there since 1957. Feels like home. Very comfortable.
We went to Hueston Woods because we found a beautiful Red Shoulder Hawk standing in our driveway, that couldn't fly, so we decided to take it to the Raptor Center at Hueston Woods. It probably will become one of their rehab birds since it will probably loose a talon & can't return to the wild. They do very good work there with birds. We had to go to the Lodge for lunch & they have a pretty limited menu for lunch so all 4 of us had the 1/2 lb cheeseburger & french fries. It was your typical cheeseburger, but the french fries were incredible!!!! They didn't look like any fries I've ever had before & they were fantastic.
