Mesa Vista Lodge

I was delighted to make the acquaintance of the owners and enjoy their beautiful lodge. They take great pride in their property and maintain it well. It is a beautiful acreage and a beautiful lodge. Very comfortable for 16 people. Attractively priced and family friendly. This is a beautiful facility very comfortable, a wonderful wraparound porch, perfect campfire set up and a very clean hot tub. The kitchen was stocked very well and the lodge was clean top to bottom. We enjoy the outside games like corn hole and kickball. We had several great nights out under the stars enjoying a bonfire that they so graciously started for us. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrooms lovely and well appointed. Kathy was a wonderful host and we enjoyed some interaction with them. I wouldn’t hesitate to arrange for another family gathering in the future. Thank you both for such a wonderful time we had and for sharing your beautiful property with our family.

My best friend was looking for a Thanksgiving getaway for her family and I suggested Mesa Lodge as I heard good things about it. It did not disappoint. My friend said her stay was phenomenal. The lodge was gorgeous and even her hard to please father did not want to leave. She said Cathy, the owner went above and beyond. Her mother wanted to book Thanksgiving for next year but it was unfortunate already booked.nnThank you Cathy for making me look good to my friend and her family.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The property is absolutely gorgeous and it’s so quiet and peaceful. We sat on the porch and watched several humming birds drink from the feeder. There is one in particular who is quite territorial and doesn’t like to share :) There is plenty to do for everyone during your stay. Take a walk on the acres of land available, play volleyball on net and ball provided, sit by the campfire, play corn hole (boards and bags provided), relax in the hot tub or even have your very own Karaoke competition with karaoke machine, CD’s and mics available. The cabin has plenty of seating and a nice big table for the whole group to sit and eat together, also great for playing cards. The kitchen is equipped with everything you can possibly need and plenty of it and it’s all very new. The owner greeted us when we arrived and it was just us after that. We had plenty of firewood for the fire, but they offered to bring more if we needed it. It is a little further from Hocking Hills Park (took us about 30 minutes) than we would have preferred but the drive wasn’t bad. We did not have any reception once we left the cabin property so would suggest you GPS where you are going before leaving and take a screen shot of the directions or go the old fashion way of printing directions before you arrive. The beds were comfortable but they do not have any extra blankets and the AC unit is fixed and locked and it was cold! The one suggestion we would add is for the owners to allow that to be adjusted and to provide extra blankets in the cabin. All in all it was a great experience and we would recommend this cabin. It is very well maintained and has plenty of space. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did! Cheers to making memories!!

The lodge DOES accommodate 20 with ease. There is plenty of space for group meals and games and plenty of space to have privacy. It is ADA compliant. The ramp to get inside is great and the porch access for a wheelchair is wonderful too. The bathroom which lends itself to be used for a handicapped person is NOT wheelchair friendly. There is a hard-mounted hair dryer blocking access to the toilet if you are in a wheelchair. The hosts are friendly and you can tell they love their property but the frequent surveillance gets a bit old. They must have had a horrible experience at some point with renters. There is a security system that beeps EVERY TIME a door opens. And it seems like the beep is everywhere in the house. You can' t escape it. With 20 people gathered under the same roof, it gets annoying. It is constantly beeping. I am not sure why it is needed in the middle of nowhere.

Second time we’ve used this place. Very clean and well-equipped ! Beautiful place for a family gathering! Highly recommend it.
