The Broadlawn Apartments

There is NOTHING like The Broadlawn in White Plains. Beautiful pre-war building. Well-maintained buildings and beautiful gardens make you feel like you are in Europe somewhere. Friendly neighbors . . . you just can't beat it!

I own 3 properties and this is by far the worst resident experience. On two occasions they forgot to bill me and realized this so they made me pay a large lump sum months later. The worst part, is you have to ask them if your account is accurate and that’s how they remember you weren’t charged. Therefore, residents have no idea if they’ll be surprised by a missing charge.nnIn addition, the Board doesn’t take any accountability for the leasing company’s errors which makes the property look disorganized.nnLastly, their roof leaked into my guest room and 60 days later it was resolved. I couldn’t use that room and I had to follow up to find out updates. There lack of care for the resident experience is upsetting. I’ll have to pursue a lawyer to take them to small claim’s court.

My application was turned down by the coop board with no explanation, despite excellent credit and cash purchase offer. Having paid a total of $1,550 in non-refundable application fees ($450 for credit check of 3 adults, $350 application fee to management company, and $750 application fee to the coop), dont you think theyd have the courtesy of sharing their rationale for denying? I think i paid for an answer and if not, at least a refund of the coop board's cut ($750) of the fees I paid. Buyer beware!

Worst management company I have ever seen. They have dropped the ball on providing heat when temps dropped below freezing, they never respond, and they have no regard for the information privacy of their residents.
