Renaissance Westchester Hotel

Worst customer service I have ever witnessed in my life. My sister had a room block here for her wedding. Details were all set up and never once was there a mention of there potentially being a chance the hotel would be closed due to covid or was closed at the time of the room block. Less than 2 months before my sisters wedding they email her, not even a phone call out of respect, to let her know the hotel is closed and all the people who booked because the invites were already sent out would have to find other lodging. Let alone having to tell everyone that has booked they have to book another place we arent even sure if other places have the availabiltiy we need and we are hosting guests out of town. If you want a hotel that will wash their hands of you no problem at any given moment without a care in the world than this is the place for you. It even pains me to have to give them 1 star because it was the only way to post this warning review. Motels offer better service than this!!!!

Love, love, love the Renaissance! I've been coming here for years since I have family that lives nearby. This is a lovely hotel nestled in the woods. The interior lobby is beautiful with a library area, bar and restaurant. The Hive serves up delicious meals and bar bites. The hotel staff is so friendly and welcoming! They enhance an already amazing experience as this hotel has fire pits outdoors, a lovely pool, tennis courts and hiking trails in the woods. The rooms are modern and the windows look out onto the forest. I truly feel that this is my home away from home in Westchester.

WOULD NOT RETURN.nnUpon entry to the room, I immediately noticed a heavy unpleasant scent and the main light wasn't working.nnCalled the front desk. I was asked if I wanted it fixed now or later ud83eudd14ud83dude33 ...( inside voice... Um.. NOW. IT'S DARK IN HERE). Maintenance came to repair it pretty quickly.nnI didn't mention the scent because I was advised it was a busy weekend and rooms were limited. In addition to paint stained drapes, the sliding feature of the drapes were unhinged, hanging off the track making sliding open and close them difficult.nnThe shower head was not affixed to the wall, leaving a gaping hole between the wall and shower head. After showering, the water barely drained so I would re-run the water to clean the soap residue that gathered as a result of slow drainage.nnAs a prepared for a shower the next night, I spotted a medium sized bug ud83dude1fud83dude29ud83dude29on the towel which I later identified as a moth because I found a dead one in the corner of the room by the curtains ud83dude16.nnThe next morning I requested a wake up call. NONE was provided.nnStaff was nice. Accommodations / up keep of property leaves MUCH TO BE DESIRED.

Old rooms, but nice and Very good bed! The personal in restaurant and reception did not have good service!

It was alright, but under construction and therefore overpriced. Not clear where to enter. Rooms not that nice.
