I can't say enough good things about Savage and Son. It all started in May when I had several estimates to get my house sided along with new windows. When Jordan Layne came to my house he was personable and explained the background of the company as well as what they could do. That when I chose Savage and son and it was the best decision I made. Owner Dan Layne is very professional and he and his crew started promptly at 7 am daily. They were always respectful of property and cleaned up the work site after their day. The house turned out beautiful and Dan's workmanship and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Thanks Dan and crew for a job well done!

Savage and Son just did an amazing job siding our house and installing new windows. They were great to work with from start to finish! When Jordan came for the estimate, he was extremely informative and not pushy at all. Danny (the owner) and the crew did incredible work. They were super nice and polite, so good at what they do and such hard workers...even during a heat wave! They had such precise attention to detail. Danny walked around the house 3 times before they left to make sure everything was absolutely perfect. We could not be happier that we chose to work with Savage and Son, and highly recommend them for any home improvement.

We have used Savage and Son for many different projects over the years. By far the quality, workmanship and professionalism was better when Tom Savage owned the business.nnWe called Savage and Son last Fall (2019)- note under newer ownership now. Jordan Lane came out and we requested an estimate for work (completely tearing of and re-siding the house and garage, adding a small peaked roof over the front porch and installing all weather decking/rails onto front porch.nnOverall we were generally satisfied with the house/garage siding project except for a list of details that were overlooked or not done: the exterior furnace vent was installed upside down (noticeable when upward exhaust froze all over the side of the house), one window completely un-caulked, multiple exterior electrical outlets barely secured to the house, several garden bed lights broken during the construction, house and gutter guard not installed at all (were told they'd get to that when they returned in the spring), metal debris left in gutter that blocked drain hole all winter.nnThe weather then became too cold to begin the front porch project as Dan Lane said the ground was too hard to pour front porch footers. Winter came and went. Covid 19 came and stayed. No contact to us from Dan. We had to call late spring (after the Covid construction company ban had been lifted) and inquire the status of resuming the porch project. We understand that Covid impacted everything and everyone (working, supplies, etc). What we were extremely dissatisfied with was the complete lack of any updates or communication from the company.nnTime for the front porch project to finally begin- footers apparently had been done quite well some years ago so Dan Lane said they would not have to be re-done. (That was to have been the delay in starting the project last Fall??) The front porch and roof project were one problem after another. Summary of front porch shoddy workmanship: pieces of gutter guard missing along front of house when it was finally installed, unevenly cut decking along sides, nails poking through floor decking, cap trim pieces piece-mealed together with white caulk everywhere, scratched/scuffed railings, siding section broken, railings with large gaps at attachment points, no deck skirting along the visible portions of the stairs (aka curb appeal), no flashing installed in valley where new roof met existing thus major leaking issues on both sides resulting in wet mail for almost 2 weeks.nnDan Lane did return to address and 'fix' these things but we were not satisfied at all with the front porch quality and workmanship. We will not hire them again and would not readily recommend them.

Dan and Jordan Layne, as well as the entire Savage & Son team are a pleasure to work with. Consistently honest, reliable, and hard working. For any home services needed, I 10/10 recommend these gentleman for the job.

I would recommend Savage and Son to anyone who is looking for an honest, reliable contractor. They sided my house, put on gutters, and did my roof. The quality of work was outstanding and the cost was quite reasonable. We would use them again and again.nnLaurie and Mike Colangelo
