Second time staying here and couldn't ask for nicer office staff. Here for my dad's funeral and they've been amazing. Nice, updated rooms with a beautiful view of the cut through. Also helps to have the best Mexican restaurant in the same building!
The check in clerk was great! Down hill after that. The room is smaller than the lower cost hotels I've stayed in. The room had a dirty carpet smell. The carpet was ripped and stained. Go to the Brookshire Inn for the same price or spend a little more for the Hampton or Hilton OR spend less at Super 8 or Econo Lodge!
If I could give 0 I would they would not rent to me after they took my reservation. I drove 800 miles to my home town said where my address showed Pikeville that they don't rent to locals said all motels is doin this . News flash!!!! Went to another down the road they rented to me .nDo not go to this motel they are rude and don't care. This is my home town I was raised there Pikeville ky.. this motel will shut down soon enough never be back and tell someone to go somewhere else
Honestly would give 5 stars but let's be honest. This only a 3 star hotel. No breakfast and the pool is closed. But what would you expect in a declining mine town.. However 4stars for cleanliness and the hospitality of the front staff.
Building is very old so tubs don't drain very well. Bathroom is tiny. We ended up having to move our room because water sat in the tub 20 minutes after a 5 minute shower and I wasn't able to shower. We rode our motorcycles to town and it was just inconvenient to have to pack all our stuff back up to move rooms. However, I really appreciated the move rather than being put off. Very courteous and helpful staff. Located right off the main highway. There is a Mexican restaurant located on the backside, 4th floor that was pretty good. Harley Davidson down the road. Restaurants, convenience store, and liquor store within walking distance. Overall pleased with our stay.
