Super 8 by Wyndham Alma

No mask worn by front desk clerk even though front door said must have on one to enter. Most guests inside did not have one on so obviously not enforced. Operator/ owners walked around common/ front desk area barefoot and talked on their phone loudly instead of being in their private space. We ate pizza in breakfast area early evening, next morning we noticed the hot peppers we spilled had not been cleaned off the table. They also didn'tnclean the tables between people eating breakfast. Breakfast was cereal, toast, waffles, no protein or fruit.nThe bed in the room was not uncomfortable, the towels were a bit thin but the room was clean on the 2nd floor. No elevator.nWe have stayed here before and it has slowly been going down hill. If we didn't have to attend a funeral we wouldn't have stayed at all.nAlma is a nice little town with a lot going on, hopefully the corporation can get this place back up to better standards.nn.

I thought this motel was going to be a great stay! Sadly we were welcomed with a rude front desk worker. I think he was the manager. I specifically picked this motel because it’s 'pet friendly’ as I have a dog! We checked in and then we went back inside just to let him know we have our dog and he stopped us and pretended not to understand what we were saying. We told him online it states pet friendly and he said no it does not, then we had to pay ten extra dollars for her. I was like okay no worries, put it on our bill. He stood in front of us and wouldn’t move and said no. We were confused. He kept saying ten dollars and you didn’t ask about pets when we called. I made a reservation online! I asked him if he meant cash and he said yes. I gave him a ten dollar bill and he stuffed it in his pocket and walked away. It was nearly two am and I was so tired. I just wanted to go to bed. He was very rude and the next morning he wouldn’t even show us our receipt. We handed our room keys and he said bye. I was like okay then. Thanks for nothing. I’d really like to talk to someone about this. I don’t think it was policy for him to take ten dollars from me when this motel said pet friendly, and not add it onto our bill. It’s just a measly ten dollars. I just don’t appreciate the way it happened and no explanation.

Roger was very accommodating as well as his staff. They gave this Military Veteran a discount and even had a designated parking space for Veterans. Room very clean and spacious. They allowed me to check in early after a long trip. I highly recommend this location

We made a reservation 2 months in advance for a wedding in the block of rooms. Drove from hours away to show up and be told they actually didn’t have rooms available. Even though they could see I made a reservation months in advance. They said they overbooked and there wasn’t anything they could do. They recommended I tried one of the surrounding towns for a hotel. Which would of been over 30 minutes further of a drive. Unfortunately we weren’t the only ones this happened to. Multiple families were left with no where to stay. Awful service. Save your time and book elsewhere.

The staff welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay in a clean and spacious room. Good location within walking distance of local restaurants. Nice breakfast each morning.
