TOP NOTCH MOTEL!!! The picket fence is hands down the nicest motel in the area. Mrs Dianne is the sweetest lady that actually TRIES!! She operates & runs a nice neat quiet clean operation. For work i've stayed in pretty much every hotel/motel in this area. The picket fence is far above and beyond any of the others & is my first choice whenever working in the area. It is a smaller motel that fills quickly so plan ahead.
We were very glad to be able to stay at The Picket Fence when we came to Dawson to attend a funeral. We were comfortable and warm on a very cold and snowy night. The room was nicely decorated and very clean. There were chocolates on our beds when we arrived. In the morning we made use of the coffee and coffeemaker, the toaster, and the paper plates and napkins. We had everything we needed. The plowing was done expeditiously, so we had no trouble making it to the service on time.
The owner Diane always makes my stay accomidating and pleasant. I have stayed there many times and it is always a positive experience
This is a great place to stay. I lived here comfortably for 6 months as a traveling physical therapist, and was very satisfied with my experience. The owner is incredibly friendly, accommodating, and reasonable. She was very quick to respond to any requests I had. Almost everything you would need is within walking distance. A cute, clean, and cozy place to rest your head for any number of nights. I would definitely recommend, and will be back if ever in the area.
It's not the Hilton but it's very clean and quiet... We have stayed here several times when we come to Dawson to visit family. Give the place a try. You won't regret it!!
