Mortenson Roofing

They did a great job on my tile roof...I highly recoimmend them.

Terrible customer service that overshadows good roofing work. From the moment we put our deposit down until leaving this review, I have never been able to get someone at Mortenson to call me back. After our deposit was cashed and hearing nothing for two weeks, I started leaving messages (always including my name, address of the property, quote number and phone number). Never a callback but I finally got someone on the phone. She explained they were busy but it would be about eight weeks till they could do the work. No problem, thanks for letting us know. After nine weeks, I called again and left a few messages, still no response. Suddenly, one Saturday morning at 6:30 AM (about 10 weeks after deposit), with no warning, a crew descends on the house. This causes lots of problems. From needing access to our neighbor's driveway for scaffolding to needing to block our driveway and the fact that we had 21 kindergarten kids coming over for a birthday party, it was a disaster. The crew was great though. They did their work fast and kept out of the way. While the crew said they were told we were notified of the work being scheduled, I am still waiting for the notification in the mail or that voicemail letting us know. Bottom line, the roofing work is good. But know that all customer service is non-existent. So if you are ok with writing a check and just waiting until they show up one day, someday, whenever, go for it. If you expect at least one phone call or any communications at all, over a few months, this isn't the roofing company for you.nnUpdated - we finally heard from them...an email stating we were past due on our bill, despite the fact is was only 21 days after the work had been done. Note that their mailed invoice states net 30. Glad to see at least some part of the front office is running efficiently, if not too efficiently. We paid in full and hope to never need Mortenson Roofing again. Oh, and still waiting on that notice that they are scheduled to come out and do the work :-)
