Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Elmhurst/Oakbrook Area

It is a very great place. Clean and quiet. The rooms are spacious and very cleaned. You will feel safe even during this pandemic. I went to this hotel twice, the best is to ask for a room on this other side of the road so you dont hear the i-83 traffic. The staff is super welcoming and nice. I am sad the little restaurant wasnt open due to covid. I'll come back when it'll open back, the menu is nice and it is super convenient to have it in the hotel. Close to downtown Elmhurst, shopping malls and most of the business around. I totally recommend !

I WOULD RATE ZERO STARS IF I COULD.nnMade a reservation to celebrate new years eve with my fiance and daughter. We booked here specially because online it stated they had a pool and workout room. Also they mentioned breakfast was included. We rented the king suite with a sofa bed. To give you an overview of the problems...nn1. Pool Closedn2. Workout Room Closedn3. No sofa bed in Roomn4. only 1/3 of cable channels workedn5. Charged a security deposit on top of paying in full ahead. The manager sent me an email the day before booking saying they were going to charge $100 extra each night but that it would be returned at check out - It wasn't..n6. ALL of the ice machines were brokenn7. The construction crew was hanging out on level 6 instead of working.n8. The breakfast in the morning was pathetic. 2 hard boiled eggs and a cup of yogurt.n9. No one bothered to shovel or ice the front entrance. Very slippery and dangerous.nnWhen we arrived, the lobby was a complete mess. They were doing construction and I didn't understand why the hotel was even open in the first place. The entire first floor was closed off aside from the check in table. It's a seven story building and construction was being done on levels 1, 2, and 6. The entrance to the pool and workout room was beyond the construction so staff decided to close off access. They said it was due to covid - but realistically, it came off as lazy staff not wanting to disinfect those areas.nnThe description online said we would get a king suite with a sofa bed. We got a king suite with a chair... The sofa bed was supposed to be for my daughter. When we turned the tv on, we realized only 1/3 of the channels even worked. In disbelief I unplugged the cable and reconnected it thinking there was an error. Nope.. they just really didnt have any channels available.nnLater in the night, after coming back from getting some dinner.. We decided to try to drink some wine to relax.. I go to the ice machine on my level.. and it's broken. I take the elevator a floor down, to see that the entire level is a mess (from construction) -- that ice machine was broken too. I take the elevator down another floor and surprise surprise, that ice machine was broken too. As i was walking back to the elevator, I ran into another customer and she asked about the ice machine. Apparently she was also going from floor to floor looking for a functional unit.nnThe bar and restaurant were closed due to covid, and their breakfast in the morning was beyond pathetic. Two hard boiled eggs and a cup of yogurt.. I honestly expected more from Marriott. Maybe it isn't the company and maybe it's just the way the general manger Carla Manjarrez-Ayala decided to run the business.nnNot only was I extremely disappointing in my overall stay, but seeing that my deposit wasn't returned yet even though we left the room spotless is irritating.nnHopefully if you come across this review - you'll learn from my mistake - of booking a reservation at this dump. Maybe they'll get it right in a few months.. But all the reviews are older and misleading. This place has gone down the drain. I wish i could get my money back. A terrible place to start the new year.

Our room was incredible nice and clean. All the hotel staff were so nice and helpful.

Accommodation: very spacious and fully equipped with everything you need and more.
