The only bright spot at the hotel was the evening housekeeping people. We had checked into our room and left shortly after only to come back to water all over the floor in the bathroom. I went to the front desk and housekeeping arrived very quickly and moved us a new room(however not the same type of room as we had a jetted tube and the tube was not working in the room we were moved to). I understand this was beyond anyone’s control and was very happy and appreciative they worked quickly to work with the front desk to get us a new room and even offered to help us move our things. My complaint comes in here. At about 2:30 am someone was trying to enter our room and pounding on the door. It turned out the front desk staff had checked someone else into our room. I would have never expected any type of compensation for the water on the floor and having to move rooms as this was beyond anyone’s control and was made right within minutes. However after addressing someone attempting to enter our room in the middle of the night I felt that we should have had a reduced rate/refund for that evening. This was something that was totally avoidable and was a result of personals carelessness.nnRoom was clean and we did much appreciate the help we received from housekeeping.
Friendly and courteous staff. Exceptionally clean and comfortable room. I highly recommend it and will come back when in the area.
My family and I arrived from out of town to check in to the Comfort Suites in Fairview Heights IL. Upon arrival we were greeted by an extremely sullen/gloomy individual who when asked how she was responded with “well I still have a job”. As I was checking in to I handed over my id for verification where she immediately demanded a $250 CASH deposit because the address on mynID stated we lived within 25 miles of the hotel. After explaining we recently moved and the hotel was actually payed for/reserved under my new address she responded with an eye roll, refused to take any other sort of ID showing I lived out of town, and refused to call any supervisor, manager, or anyone to help resolve the issue. Instead the pointed and said there were plenty of other hotels we could stay in.nWhen I left the building to make a phone call she immediate canceled out reservation, without our request, and then informed the friends we were traveling with about the $250 cash deposit. When they responded with then same shock, she immediately cancelled their reservation too! This was the WORST experience in have EVER had in a hotel
Beautiful design. Very warm decor. Staff was well trained and focused on customer service. This is just the preview of the hotel... We stay later this month in October of 2019! I'll let you guys know ud83dudcaaud83cudffd
Had to stay here because the Hampton Inn across the street had overbooked our confirmed room. Desk staff here was very good. However, the facility is in need of a good cleaning or makeover. The bathroom ceiling appeared to have mold or?? The floor of our room and the halls needed vacuuming. Disappointed as CI & S had been our favorite until recent stays have led us to seek other places to stay.
