We booked blocks of rooms at this hotel for our daughter's wedding in July 2020. Our wedding guests were thrilled with this hotel choice and raved about their stay here! The beautiful hip and trendy lobby and bar, enclosed patio, pool area, and fitness center are all top notch. The rooms are very impressive and clean. It was the perfect place to welcome people from out of town to Ames! Few hotels in Ames have a nice large lobby, bar area and patio for guests to hang out together, and none compare to this one. The General Manager, Tim, and his staff were very easy to work with, kind, and extremely accommodating. This hotel is a great addition to the city of Ames.nnDefinitely would do it all again and highly recommend this hotel. Our guests booked over 50 rooms and all they could say was how welcoming and accommodating the staff was at this hotel, even with additional requests.....and how exceptionally nice this hotel is to stay at. It set the tone for the entire wedding weekend and we couldn't be more grateful!
This hotel is exceptional! My family and I stayed 2 nights in December 2020, and found the hotel to be spotless. The hotel is new, and features appealing modern decor throughout. We stayed in a queen suite, which had a separate seating area with a second large TV, which was great for a family - very spacious. I appreciated details like, you can snap a pic of a QR code and intuitively use your phone as a tv remote; no need to touch the remote control provided in the room. The lobby is large and beautiful, and you can get Starbucks coffee on-site. The pool area was nice and this hotel has the best equipped workout room I have seen at a hotel. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I’d be surprised if there is a nicer hotel anywhere in or around Ames. Highly recommend!
ATTENTION EV DRIVERS! This property has refused to fix the Level 2 Chargers here for over a year. Not friendly to EV drivers. Property is fine, but NOT EV friendly.
Absolutely beautiful hotel. Pool area could use some better ventilation for the chlorine, but other wise was great to spend some time there.
We arrived to the Courtyard Marriott in Ames during a blizzard. Their rooms are very nice and the grounds were plowed out during the night.nnI wanted to especially thank Amanda H at the front desk, she went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of during our first time in Ames!
