Elkader JailHouse Inn

The furniture maybe old, but needs to be stable. The night stand next to the bed was so wobble we had to put our sleep machine on the floor. New owners need to add some personal touches for the guest. A plate of cookies or fruit would be nice. Old food left in refrigerator from previous guests.

We had a wonderful stay! The accommodations are comfortable, beautiful and fun!nThe host was great, communicated easily, very nice to work with.nWe enjoyed it so much we have already booked our next stay!nDon't miss out!!

Very nice rooms reasonable rates. Enjoyed viewing the old jail facilities. Wished the common room had restroom facilities so we didn't have to go back to our room.

Great place, Clean and reasonably priced. Hosts are engaging and friendly.. definitely the place to stay while in northeast Iowa

I was in town for work and wanted to stay in with a business that is very active in the community. I feel i found that with the Elkader Jailhouse Inn. I got into town late but Julie was waiting up for me to show me around the stunning building into my beautiful suite. The botanical room was more than i could have dreamed about and the soaking tub was so relaxing! Woke up to a beautiful set up for breakfast and the food was absolutely delicious!!! If you have doubts about staying here...... DO IT! You will not be disappointed! The place has such a historic feel and is so great!!!! Had A Blast!!! Will be back!
