We booked a certain room to fit us in but when we checked in we got a room with only 1 bed for 3 people. The second room we were given already had guests in it. The third room finally was appropriate. There were teams of lacrosse teens boys booked in, this is all okay if the hotel staffs the breakfast accordingly. The poor staff who were on ran off their feet and there was limited food available.
We've stayed at several Hampton Inn's and I was very disappointed in condition of room 506 at HI Morgantown WV. No issue with location on top floor. They may have wiped down the surface areas giving 2 stars because they're not dusting nor sweeping the room. There was a layer of dust on the shelf under the bathroom sink and the light switch on the wall between the beds. The worst was area under raised dresser 12-18 in. off the floor has not been swept for a very long time. Causes you to doubt cleanliness.
The staff was friendly. However, there was no hotel pool. Also, the internet was very substandard. The beds however were quite comfortable. The shower, however did not properly dispose water. Nothing came out of the center of the shower head. I understand during the pandemic, employees have to handle the bagged breakfast. However, on my first morning, I was not informed that I could also add eggs, yogurt, juice, and milk to my bagged breakfast.also, the computer in the business center did not work properly. I had to email the documents which I wanted to print to the front desk clerk, and she had to print them herself.this sort of experience is not what I am accustomed to when I stay at a Hampton inn. Nice hotel. However we had NO hot water and when I went to complain could not anyone to tell. Beds aren’t very comfortable either. Also needs a bigger sign so people are able to see location at night.
Awesome place! Price was perfect.. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Lobby and room smelled amazing! Very clean and sanitized. Would definitely recommend in in the Morgantown area! Very convenient location, right next door to Applebee's, right across the street from ruby memorial and next to a bunch of food places and a Kroger. A++++++ again would definitely recommend!!!!
