This was an awesome place to stay for a Park City ski trip with friends! Reasonable prices, clean rooms, free breakfast, SUPER close to the lifts, ski storage, friendly staff, and they let us store our stuff there all day after we checked out so we could get one more day of skiing in before our late night flights. I'd highly recommend, just make sure that you look at the photos first so you aren't expecting a 5 star hotel. I think it was totally worth it and I'd stay here again.
Great place..no frills.. great back in the day vibe! Been coming here for years. Thanks Ed and Jason!
We thought the place was a great value and that the owners were very friendly. The place was also clean which was important.
I had called yesterday to make a reservation for ONE night. The 15-16. There is an event that is going on and I was looking for something close to the venue and this place was it! I read the reviews and it seemed like a great place to stay. I had called and was told there WAS a room available for the one night that was needed. I had to check with my boyfriend make sure it was something that we could do and I would call back. I called back a bit after 9pm. The lady who answered said the manager who makes the reservations is not in, but to call tomorrow early at 9am when he arrives, she said she shows there ARE rooms still available to reserve. I then called today to reserve a room. I was speaking with Jason, he said that is not something that would work. Typically there is a 2-3 night stay that is required on the weekends. I asked where it states that policy specifically on the website. he said it should be on there. I just asked if he could point to me where because when I had called yesterday I was told I could make the one night reservation. Jason said he is the manager and he makes the rules, he doesn't like one nighters so it's not going to work. I explained it is not fair to customer's where as that is not a specific policy stated and written on the website. He said he doesn't know where on the website it would be, but he is the manager/owner and he makes the rules. He asked why I was arguing with him and I was not in fact, just asking as of to why this would be, and it's not something that's a written policy for customer's to see that is unfair. He was very rude, and not trying to help me at all. He said today is a different day, and I should've made the reservation yesterday. He said, "I'm sure there are a lot of places here in park city that could accommodate your stay." If I could give zero rating for stars I would, I am not upset I wasn't able to reserve, but at the way the manager/owner spoke to me, and handled this situation when he could've handled it so differently and in a better manner. I don't recommend this place. Jason is very unprofessional and rude, as an owner I understand you can make the rules, but if it's not something written as a policy it is unfair to make the rules up on the spot and treat a customer badly the way he did.
Location is ideal, about a ten minute walk to town and just out the back door and up the stairs the base of PC is right down the street. Everything is within walking distance. The rooms are fine, like others have mentioned no thermostat, the shower temperature seemed to randomly fluctuate, no deadbolt lock and you can hear other people around you. I will say I did find the room to be very clean. The continental breakfast is minimal, but is enough to get you started in the morning. If you are there to ski/snowboard and only in the room to sleep and shower then this place is perfect. My only real complaint was the owner, I believe his name was Jason. Never a good morning, never even a word. Even when checking out, he said just leave the keys on the counter, not how was your stay, thank you for staying, etc..It was like he could not be bothered, which I found strange because he was nice to deal with over email. If you own a business it might help to be courteous to your guests.
