Was very disappointed by the wait staff. They were rude and unprofessional when a complicated situation came up. And of course, they already had an automatic 20% gratuity on a very expensive meal. The food and ambiance were great, but the price and customer service ruined the entire experience.
The Viking Yurt is up on the slopes which made it a unique experience for me. I walked in just after lunch time and I could tell there was a huge rush. They do take reservations for dinner, so I'd definitely look into that. They have a pretty good drink selection which makes for great fun on the mountain. I grabbed a drink and sat out in one of the Adirondack chairs and enjoyed the view. As you can imagine the view is beautiful at the altitude.
Braised short rib wasn’t fresh and very bland.. can’t have bread so ordered it without a bun - gave me maybe 2oz of meat with a little scoop of coleslaw for $13.. oh and no tap water here so be prepared to pay $2 for a bottle or $4 for coffee.. ambiance is nice and if you drink beer - it’s probably a good stop but that’s about it..
My favorite place to grab a beer when I am snowboarding! The owners and staff are amazing, and so is the food.
My wife and I had way too much fun. Atmosphere. Joy. Laughter. It is warm from the cold and something everyone needs to do at least once.
