As parking trucks is difficult up hill.

Our room was spacious but had a dirty floor(corners and area under beds were not cleaned.) One of the bathroom lights did not work, and the faucet in the bathtub leaked. However, the front entrance featured a scenic view of the town, and the lobby was welcoming. The hotel is directly across (0.1 mile away) from a nearby shopping center and about twenty minutes from Sugar Mountain. Overall it is a good hotel for its low price and location.

The room I was assigned had several issues. The AC/Heater was extremely noisy, the mini bar had a continuous dripping noise, the next door guests were opening their side of the connecting door. The room itself was dirty and highly neglected as can be seen from the pictures. It was really annoying. I specifically reserved and asked for an upper floor room and was assigned a first floor room. The guests upstairs were running past 11pm. They advertise that breakfast is included and once you get there they let you know that due to the pandemic it's only coffee and muffins (it's understandable but they should be honest from the beginning). The view from the room was a very busy and noisy parking lot. I live very close to Boone, and plan to go there recurrently, I'm definitively not staying here ever again.

I understand that the hotel is not new and that it already has its years, but every time the heating was turned on it sounded like a plane about to take off, can you imagine hearing that all night?

This place is DIRTY and smells horrible. There was so much mold in the bathroom that had just been painted over. The bathroom did not have a fan, and the shower didn’t drain. The maids did not wear masks, when the website said it was covid friendly.nnI have stayed at many budget hotels and motels around the world and this place was by far the dirtiest.nnI would have left zero stars, but the staff was super friendly and helpful.
