Not Dads Place

We stayed at Dad’s place February of 2020 for the 3rd time. We got up the next morning and noticed something on the bed towards the bottom (it was dark red in color) have no idea what it was. We called the owner Don and requested new sheets and he couldn’t imagine the cleaner missing something like that. He said he had a new cleaner. But still was acting like we did it. Note this was our THIRD time there with no issues at all. I am writing this almost a year later because we’ve booked another place in Boone that is much nicer for the money. Very up to date. Our last stay at Dad’s place we said to ourselves this place needs a lot of work inside. The place is very dated. The tv is like a computer monitor and everything is just old. We were very disappointed last time at the way we were treated and then to realize at what we payed for what we got was terrible.

What a beautiful Airbnb place a friend was staying at while we both were attending it daughter's graduation from Appalachian State university!

Spectacular spot for a stress free getaway. If I were visit Boone again, I would love to stay here again.

Dad's Place is such a romantic, cozy little cabin. I have been there 5 times and I love it. I can not wait to go back. One of my experience, I was relaxing in the hot tub outside, watching it snow, it was 28 degrees.

Great location right on Winkler's Creek! Cozy cabin perfect for couples. Really pretty location both summer and winter with great sounds from the falling water of the creek just outside.
