Courtyard by Marriott Charlotte Matthews

Getting to the hotel was confusing, specially at night; going south on Independence Blvd there is no left turn into the hotel lot, so Google maps takes you around the block behind the hotel. This would be fine except there are no signs nor lights to see the entrance. Also my room was not ready at 7 pm and I had to wait; when I got to my room, there were no trash cans in the room. I asked for a trash can and I was given a toilet plunger, which did not really help with the trash.nOther than that, the hotel was extremely clean, comfortable and located in a nice area.

Clean and sanitized room when I checked in. And they are all being safe during the Covid-19 time. If more towels are needed, you may ask at the desk and no room service until you leave to ensure your safety while your staying. Thank you for a lovely stay.

It's an old hotel probably remodel 10 years ago there is no breakfast of any kind no coffee except what's in your room which by the way is not good and the rooms are small being that it's an older Hotel clean but small. It is extremely hard to get in out of parking onto side road if you have a large vehicle.. the hotel staff is very nice. Ironically there are signs all over the place you must wear a mask however at checkout the girl did not have a mask on

I stayed here for a month and the staff are phenomenal! Great customer service from management, housekeeping and maintenance. Carlo, Nubia and Derik make your stay safe, comfortable and a pleasure. God bless y'all!

Overall this is a good place to stay. If you are in the Mint Hill or Matthews area super easy to get to. It was quiet and we were able to get good sleep. Due to COVID there was no breakfast and towels were not refreshed...but I was able to get fresh towels at the front desk. The staff was friendly and worked to help make sure we had a great stay.
