Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Charlotte/Matthews, NC

We booked a room here last minute. I was not disappointed at all. The staff is wonderful and the new owner is a very friendly gentleman and knows how to manage his hotel. The building is a little older so it has a few imperfections but, having worked in the industry, I am certain he will be giving it a more modern update soon. The hotel is clean, inside and out, has safety information posted as a reminder. It's great to see a hotel partner with police and shows how much they value customer safety. The front desk staff and housekeeping are super nice and professional. I slept better than I even sleep at home. My husband travels so much for work, we are always in hotels and over all, this is the BEST by far. The rates are very reasonable and it's a comfortable place to stay not to mention, it's easy to get to and not in the middle of mad traffic. This is absolutely where you should stay! Thank you so much to the staff and we will see you Sunday evening!

Checked in last night late - found men’s clothing hidden under the mattress - and checked out immediately. My cancellation and refund are pending. This is not in a well lit area and their are signs in the hotel on how to prevent car break-ins there. The young man who checked us in was very polite but it took over 40 minutes to check in.

Disgusting! The absolute worst hotel experience!! We should have checked out immediately after seeing the room! The more I think about it I want to puke. The room had trash in the cans and there was used complimentary hotel soap in the bathroom on the sink. I thought my husband had opened the soap when we arrived. NOPE! I honestly think the bed was never changed. The key wouldn’t open the door upon arrival so the clerk gave new keys. I’m really thinking this room was never cleaned for the next guest. I will NEVER stay at this chain again! Disgusting and shame on me for not leaving!!

Clean rooms, comfortable bed, friendly staff. Only negative is water in pool too cool for me. The room was heated but I don't think the water is.

The attendant at the desk over night was so incredibly rude I'm surprised he works in hospitality. Other than him I really enjoyed the hotel itself.
