Quality Inn & Suites Matthews Charlotten13470 E Independence Blvd, Matthews, NC, 28105, US. On Saturday, morning my grandson and I entered to use the bathroom. I was told they were closed and they did not have the key. Mind you I identified my self as a first responder and even asked to just let my 6 year old grandson use the bathroom. We have just driven 3 hours and even trying to explain. The receptionist was getting answers from stone who refused to come out and speak to me but rather speak behind the wall. As a first respondent I will never stay at this hotel or any other Quality Inn & Suites. I will let all my fellow brother and sisters first responders know how was treated. I am sure they will feel the same. Shame on you Quality Inn!!

I checked into this hotel for a 2 night stay. The keys didn't work when I got to the room so I returned to the front desk and was given a second set of keys only to get back to the room and find that it was preoccupied. There was guests in the room absolutely terrible in this current climate.

The place wasn't too bad and the room itself was decent. The smell of Marijuana in the hall was annoying though.nThe girl at the desk ud83dude44 personality of the year award winner there. Rude... didn't let us know anything about how breakfast was done or when. She didn't even bother to ask if we wanted the wifi password.nAlso, the front door was open to come in and they have a barrier up, but she still made me go to the little night window. I guess she didn't want to have to put her mask back on to help a paying customer.

Nice clean comfortable big king size beds sitting area everything is really really nice I love this place

Checked in and out within 45 min. Hotel felt very unsafe, drug deals were taking place in the parking lot and inside was basically a hot box, all you could smell was marijuana. It even made our clothes smell. Staff was rude, but acknowledged drug use had been an ongoing issue in the hotel. Called the Choice hotline and they arranged for management to provide a full refund and we relocated to a nice, clean hotel about a mile away. Management needs to change policies and work with local law enforcement to clean up their hotel, I speak as both a former hotel AGM and as someone who has worked in law enforcement and the judicial system. Was unhappy with the stay buy very pleased at working out a solution to get us out of there very quickly. Front desk clerk needs customer service training though.
