Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Lumberton

I expect a level of consistency with Marriott, but this location is old and gross. The beds are long overdue a replacement and the available outlets in the room didn’t even work. Also disappointed with the staff when I called about an item we left behind. On many previous Marriott experiences, we’d get a call from the staff telling us they found an item left behind before we even realized it, which has shown me how Marriott values going about and beyond. Unfortunately, that was not this time. Totally lost my trust, with everything from worrying my room wasn’t properly cleaned as advertised with COVID precautions and lack of integrity with our belongings. Don’t stay at this location. It’s not sanitary.

No one to greet you upon entering. No one acknowledged my Titanium Elite status. Extremely dated decor. Overpowering smell of air freshener or commercial cleaner upon entering the room. No tissue in the bathroom. King bed extremely bouncy and sagged in the middle. Killed 4 roaches/bugs that came out of the dresser when food was placed on top. Absolutely the worst Marriott experience I’ve ever had. Hard to believe this facility is in the Marriott franchise.

Home Sweet Home! Well except for this grab and go breakfast. I think that it could stand for a little improvement.

By far my worst stay. This place barely cleaned, evident by the pictures. The refrigerator wasn't working until we fixed it. The place overall isn't updated, and kinda gross. The people that stayed there had the elevator and landings smelling like weed every night. Again, probably the bottom 10% of Marriotts worldwide, and the worst one I've ever stayed in.

Don't know how you can rate this motel high on booking.com but so far the hot breakfast they advertised doesn't exist along with coffee maker in the room. Also disgusted with the response to this from the staff. Will let you know how managers response is in the morning.
