Whistle Stop Inn

My wife and I recently spent two nights at the Whistle Stop in in Dillsboro. The Inn is a comfortable historic property that is walking distance from restaurants, breweries and shops in this quaint town. Our hostess, Gladys was very accommodating explaining where to go and how to get there. Her breakfasts are outstanding: both delicious and filling. The other touches such as snacks and drinks were very thoughtful. We will definitely stay her again if, and when, we venture into this mountainous corner of NC.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!! The accommodations were more than generous. Not only did Gladys serve delicious breakfast every morning (after asking what time was best!!), but she had individually wrapped portions of desserts waiting during the evening. She wore her mask and kept a safe distance away while being respectful of our comfort levels of socialization. The location is directly across from a local brewery and a wonderful farm to table restaurant! I would totally recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone who asks. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

We came down for a one night stay at The Whistle Stop to go to the Casino. When we arrived we were welcomed by the home owners and they were so kind. We enjoyed a relaxing evening on the porch then walked across the street to a wonderful dinner. The stay was so welcoming and like we were at home. The bed in the Caboose room was very comfortable. We also had a wonderful breakfast brought to our room thenect morning. We will be back again! Thank you so much!

Lovely place to stay! Came in after a few nights in the mountains, and this place was perfect. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The location was perfect for enjoying downtown Dillsboro and just a couple minutes from Sylva. Absolutely would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in the area.

Gladys was the ultimate hostess with the mostess!! From the time we walked in we were treated like a King and Queen. The room was adorable and both the large and small patio areas were charming. We mentioned we were going for a glass of wine and Gladys kindly offered us both little bottles so that we could just sit on the swing and relax. The next morning we were served delicious peach french toast and bacon on china with orange juice and coffee on the little porch outside our room. We can't wait to visit again!!
