Laurelwood Inn

Our family of 4 visited Cashiers for hiking and snow-tubing. We are happy we found this lovely Inn. The room was recently renovated, with a nice shower and very comfortable beds. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We enjoyed premium coffee from a Keurig/Nespresso in the lobby that is open 24/7.nnFrom the Inn we could easily walk in less than 2 minutes to a delicious cafe (Buck's) for breakfast, and to dinner at a brewery (Whiteside) with surprisingly good food. It's also an easy walk to the city park (Village Green) that had a nice nature trail and playground for the kids. And it's a short drive to Slabtown Pizza which had some of the best pizza we've had anywhere.nnAll in all this is a nice comfortable Inn, in a perfect location to enjoy the charming town of Cashiers. We would gladly return.

I would like to start by saying we did not stay. Therefore a second star. Our balcony suite was nothing but 2 outdated rooms on the main road with a decrepit balcony overlooking traffic. Too noisy to stay. The mattresses had huge dips in each. I told the owner we were not able stay because of the traffic noise. She did not offer us another option. This is definitely not the place for seasoned travelers. I am a little confused at the other good reviews. Needless to say, we were charged the full amount of a 3 night stay and we were able to get a nice room at the Hampton Inn down the road.

We had a very short stay and were not able to take full advantage of the inn, but the room was perfect for our purposes. Great value for the area! I did not give 5 stars only because the mattress quality did not meet expectations. Love that the windows open on both sides to give great ventilation.

Best establishment I have ever been to! Love it here. So beautiful and the friendliest staff!

We had an excellent experience at the inn. The owners of the inn are super friendly and the room was gorgeous and really clean. I hope we can come back soon! Also, kid friendly place for your kids to explore the inn’s beautiful landscape , trails to follow and a playground.
