Holiday Inn Express & Suites Greensboro - Airport Area

Fairly standard, but older Holiday Inn Express. It's a shame there's no typical breakfast right now, but they at least provide something. Plus, there are a couple of places to eat nearby.

We were having the floors refinished in our house and needed a place to stay for 10 days. I booked a suite - it was very small suite and wasn't arranged very well. The beds were uncomfortable and the outside spotlight shined directly into our room - we had to use the hack of clipping the shades together using the trouser hangers. They did have a mix of different pillows to choose from (firm to soft), the housekeeping was great - kept the room cleaned and sheets changed. The breakfast was included (same thing everyday) sausage, cheese omelets, biscuits and sausage gravy, cereal, fruit (bananas & apples), juice (orange, apple, cranberry cocktail), milk, coffee, cinnamon buns, toast, mini-muffins, and pancakes from a machine. I tended for a couple of sausage patties w/ sausage gravy and coffee. It was fine, but after 10 days a little variety was more than needed! Internet connection was good as was the selection of channels on the TV. The exercise center has a two treadmills, exercise bike, and elliptic trainer. One treadmill worked great and the other I couldn't get started - it came on, but it wouldn't run a program!. So a couple of things to know: 1) we had toilet problems not once, but three times. 2) there are no snacks in this hotel at all - no pantry at the front desk, no vending machines, nothing....so stock up before you go.
