IHG Army Hotels Normandy House & Carolina Inn

I had a one night stay. No complaints, its a hotel on an army post

Rooms were completely outdated.nCarpets were filthy dirty and stained.nWe found a dirty pair of socks and 2 empty drink bottles under the beds.nWe found huge cockroaches in the hallway.nA grab and go breakfast was advertised but there was no breakfast.

Amazing service from folks who go the extra mile, including driving from another building to bring me a toothbrush! In addition, the breakfast server took time out of her schedule to help me find my cell phone by calling it, which was just as she suspected, packed in my suitcase! I am not normally this scatterbrained, but it was an emotional time to fly in to see my brother’s promotion ceremony to 2-Star Major General. Our family is so proud of him, and the wonderful staff at Ft Bragg’s Army Hotel just made the visit so much more special. Thank you, all, for your wonderful service!

We tried to stay in the moon hotel first and checked into the Normandy house from there instead. The staff were 100% Helpful, caring, and on top of it, but the building and rooms were sad and disgusting. The guest rooms were ALMOST as bad as the barracks, less mold and no cockroaches that I saw, but it smelled like mold, was falling apart in every way. Paint was falling off the walls, the furniture was not functional and falling apart, the bathroom was nasty not for lack of cleaning but because it’s like 200 years old. I’m talking about BOTH “hotels” here. The first one (moon something) was a tiny room with one bed my family of 5 did not fit in, the second was a good size with 3 total beds. Also, two out of 4 outlets did not work or were so broken they were dangerous to use. One tv wouldn’t work correctly and the WiFi advertised did not come with a PW. Nobody was working at Normandy house from check in to check out, so maybe check on that.
