Buffalo Tavern

What a wonderful stay. The history of this house was incredible. I was worried about it being cold in our room since it was mid 20's and 4 inches of snow on the ground over night but we stayed nice and warm. The best part of the stay is the homemade breakfast. The sausage and biscuits were some of the best I have ever had in my 45 years living in NC. They accommodated my wife's dairy allergy with options for her. Also pap's special hot chocolate blend of is worth the taste. Can't wait to go back

Susan and Steve are wonderful. The home takes you back in time, you can easily imagine the parlor activities during an evening long ago. The rooms are inviting and furnished with much thought. The breakfast was wonderful! We will definitely return.

We stayed in the Governors Room and had a wonderful time. The claw foot tub is a luxurious touch to the otherwise comfy cozy vibe of The B&B. Paps and Susan are great hosts. The breakfast was the bomb, I am a cheese grits connoisseur and I was not disappointed. I love this quite mountain town. We ventured out of town one day and I left my room key at a shop that closed, Paps was kind and understanding- he left our room unlocked for us. We will be back!

Steve and Susan are doing things right. The room was clean, classic and comfy. Steve's cooking is something special. Make sure you're there Sunday morning for his country breakfast. In all honesty, this place is fantastic.

Excellent place to stay just outside of West Jefferson. Breakfast was great!
