I loved Polk’s on Star Road for two years.... until Dennis left. When he was there, there was no wait. Scripts were ready, he remembered you. Now, you stand in line for 15 minutes just to have your scripts not be ready. The techs are rude, tell you incorrect info. Ex: “He didn’t have any more refills of this.” But there were actually four remaining. They also often just answer the phones with a “hello” or no answer at all until you say “hello? Polks drugs?” The correct way to answer for a business is “thank you for calling X. How can I help?” I’m changing pharmacies because this Polk’s is not good anymore.

Ive been using Polks almost 9 yrs.Ive never had a problem with the people working there. They are always helpful and friendly!

It’s not a bad place when they’re open. The hours are always changing, they lock the door 10 minutes before “close” & on Sunday’s it’s worse. I just went 29 minute before close and the doors were locked, but someone was behind the counter. I’ve been told “Mr. Polk doesn’t pay overtime so we close early.” Who does that? Also, the older woman that works there (I think her name is Cheryl or Sheryl) is quite possibly the rudest woman in Mississippi.

The old lady working the gas station counter is the rudest I’ve ever met. Cheryl Lawrence I believe. Honestly if she doesn’t own that store idk how she still has a job. I go there almost every day and every time she is SO rude. I won’t be back. To say they take their sweet time doing anything is an understatement.

The people that work at Polk's Drugs #7 on hwy 18 and Star Brandon Rd are very friendly and helpful. They have a wide variety of items. One of the first times I stopped by, I was in a hurry, going to a funeral. I ran in and ask the male at the counter if they had knee high. He said yes ma'am, they should be in the cooler over there, and he pointed to the drinks in the cooler. I said no, I mean like pantyhose except they just come to your knees. It was rather funny, but, understanding that he didn't have a clue what I was talking about I said ok and started to leave. There were some young girls stocking shelves and he hollered over and ask them. They said no, they didn't have any. I thanked them and went on my way. All Polk's Drugs have different things, I am thinking probably based on what customers ask for. I haven't ask for knee highs again. I do go there at least 3 or 4 times a week.
