Kroger Pharmacy

This pharmacy is a joke. Unless you have 1 hour to dedicate to wait for your prescription (that might not even be ready) look elsewhere. The staff is very nice, they just seem to move in slow motion since it takes so long to wait for your prescription. Seriously, unless you're fine waiting up to an hour don't go here.

Really good and helpful people behind the Rx counter; really bad management and execution of filling prescriptions. It wasn’t always this way. The down turn started about a year ago. They used to have an awesomely effective system. I loved that my provider would send them my Rx and I’d get a text that it was ready for pickup within an hour or so. Now if we don’t call and ask for it to be filled, it’ll just sit there unfilled until we do. I’m not criticizing these folks personally. They couldn’t be nicer, but something in the process has really changed for the worst. First world problems, I guess.

30 minutes of waiting on one car. Then longer until they finally get to me. Jus over all bad experience. Go to Walgreens.nUpdate. 3 days after an prder is put in and they still arent ready with my meds. Not like I meed them or anything

I've used this pharmacy for many years.nThey are the kindest people you'll ever meet and will do everything they can to get you your medication, cheaply and efficiently.nThey will work with you if you have questions, so ask them.nSometimes the wait times are long, but realize that this is one of a handful of pharmacys in Oxford. They can't work miracles.nI recommend with all the stars I can give.

I have to give Kroger a 3 star rating because it is difficult to get prescriptions in a timely manner. I’ve used Kroger Pharmacy for years, and in the last couple of years, getting my prescriptions filled has become almost nightmarish.nnFor example, I order a refill one to two days prior to when I need it, 9 times out of 10, I run out, call Kroger and am told either “Yes, it’s ready, pick it up as soon as you’d like” or “oh, we’ll get right on it, give us 20 minutes.” I go to the pharmacy to pick my medication up, and regardless of what I was told on the phone, I am told, “Oh, did you have a prescription sent in?” or “We’re working on it, come back in about 20 minutes.”nnOften when I return for a second time, I’m told to wait more and I end up sitting by the blood pressure machine for another 10-20 minutes before someone finally has my ONE prescription ready. Sometimes I go several days after a prescription has been ordered, and they still haven’t gotten it ready.nn—Now, I’m going to chalk this up to the fact that Kroger needs to upgrade it’s facilities—nnThat pharmacy is entirely too small to accommodate the customer load.nnThe staff is really good, they know their stuff, are friendly, do their best to help, but there are not enough of them, and there isn’t any room to add more because the team is already working at capacity in a small space with not enough resources to go around. They are doing the best they can with what they have, but the harsh truth is that it isn’t enough to adequately accomplish all they need to do in a reasonable time period. But that falls at the feet of Kroger management and corporate.nnI wonder if maybe the pharmacy team was more realistic with their time frame estimates, it wouldn’t be so irksome? I get the impression, that they don’t want want to disappoint their customers or agitate them up front by saying “We’re going to need about an hour and half to get this ready for you.” and so everyone regardless of size of the order or amount of overflow gets the stock and standard, “We’ll get on this right away. It’ll be ready for you in 15-20 minutes.” And that becomes and over promise and under delivered service situation.nnThe staff is truly wonderful. They are why Kroger Pharmacy is so busy, but Kroger Corporate needs to upgrade their workspace and soon.
