We stayed here the evening before our flight home. We weren't expecting much from an airport Marriott, but this place was excellent. It's a newly renovated property with nice sized rooms. The front desk staff had the nicest ladies who so were helpful,nIt was freezing outside, but we walked their lakeside trail and did 2 miles before it got too cold.nEven though the hotel is right in the middle of the airport, we heard zero planes taking off/landing while in our room. They must have good soundproofing on the property. The building never shook or any of the other things you'd expect being so close to the airport.nThe airport shuttle drivers were so friendly. We used them once when dropping off our car rental to get to the hotel and then again the next morning to get to our flight. Both times we waited less than five minutes to catch the shuttle.nWe had dinner and breakfast at the Tap&Table restaurant on the property. Both meals were great.nThe M lounge is open, just for soda and bottled water, but it was nice to have that perk since we haven't been in a lounge since the pandemic shutdown back in March when we were at the Marriott in Beverly Hills, CA. Ten months without longe access, and this made us feel like things were somewhat getting back to normal. We will definitely not hesitate to book this property again when we're in KC.

Nice enough rooms, but absolutely no one enforcing the mask policy when Marriott was Proud to give me a piece of paper when I checked in stating how they were being safe. Disappointed to say the least, there were a bunch of drunken cowboys fresh from a wedding all over the lobby with no masks on when I checked in. Felt very uncomfortable with the situation.

This is a great hotel to stay at right by the airport!! It is super clean, has a great restaurant and Starbucks! Janie (not sure I have her name correct) the early morning employee around 4am this morning) was so incredibly helpful to me! She went above and beyond to make sure I would be picked up after dropping my rental car off at 4am today! Thank you, Janie for everything!! The shuttle driver DJ (I think that was his name 4am shuttle driver) was willing to go above and beyond by picking my nephew and I up at the rental car drop off to make sure we made it to our flight on time! Luckily, the airport shuttle was there and he didn't have to go out of his was but he was so willing to help us out! Thank you, DJ!!

Ac was broken, air freshener sprayed on bed, not allergy friendly and dirty floor. Night clerk was very friendly. Day crew not so much. The restaurant staff was attentive.
