Tides Inn Bed & Breakfast

Room was nice, comfortable bed. Nice bath with soaps and shampoo. Coffee nook with mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. We were in the Karen room, which was a bit cramped. Windows towards the brewery next door. If you love country music, this is your room; if not, be aware that it's loud till 11:00 or so. B&B is a couple blocks from the beach. Breakfast is at the coffee shop next door that has excellent coffee. They offer good pastries, but the only hot item is quiche that gets heated up in the microwave.

Lovely old resort hotel that has been updated and kept up beautifully. It is right on the water with spectacular views from the rooms. We have always found the staff very friendly and helpful. They have a number of amenities including a pool and golf. The town nearby is cute as well although not very big. But there are several nice restaurants there.

Good food , good music, good people

We were in Colonial Beach visiting with family and spent Sunday morning walking around town and came to the Inn for coffee. The barista made an amazing frothy latte with almond milk that my wife absolutely loved. The pastries look delicious but we did not partake since we had just finished breakfast at Lenny's. It was quiet and no one was sitting outside where we were. While sitting there the church bells across the street were ringing for the start of service and we were able to hear the choir.

My words will likely be inadequate to describe the kindness, hospitality, and level-of-service I have received at this place, but I will do my best.nnThe Tides Inn B&B is, by far, the best place I have ever stayed at. Meghan, the owner, is a complete professional who enjoys her craft. From the moment I made my reservation to my arrival, she was nothing but responsive and helpful. Upon arrival, I was welcomed into a pristine room that met my every need. I've found her entire establishment to be unique and charming without sacrificing one once of utility. She will provide you with what you need for a great stay, while making you feel right at home.nnThe added benefit of a stay at the Tides Inn B&B is the amenities, particularly the Tides Inn Market. The food and beverage you will find in the market are top notch! Meghan and her daughter provide an excellent culinary experience and nearly everything you'll be offered is home made and healthy. You'll be welcomed by great food and great company to boot, as this is a local hangout which is exceptionally lively, friendly, and welcoming.nnLastly, you'll be staying a short walk from the western shore of the Potomac (3 mins walking).
