RIVER EDGE INN

This was my husband and myself first time here on Colonial Beach. We had a very nice time. Although not much around is open yet due to the season and Covid-19.nOur room was really clean and nice. We really enjoyed the table outside of our room for a morning coffee or continental breakfast each morning from 6:30 - 9:30 a.m. checkout is 11 a.m.nWe were able to go see the Washington Memorial Park (free admission)nThe one draw back that we found. Those who like to eat seafood. There's one place at the boardwalk that will open soon. Other then the one seafood restaurant on the boardwalk. You will have to travel 30 minutes to find another. It is worth the drive and stay. We hope you enjoyed our pictures and will think about the short trip from Richmond to Colonial Beach ⛱ only a 1½ hour drive.

I’m currently still staying at rivers edge. I am overall impressed with my stay. I have stayed at every hotel in Dalgran and decided somewhere closer to the water this triple. The convenience to the water is great, we were in room 106 and it is literally a couple steps away from the water, staff is great, rooms are pretty good for the most part, they could use some updating, re-painting but I have no complaints. Good price, good rooms, breakfast was amazing especially given the covid circumstances comparing to other hotels. Definitely would stay here again.

The pool was nasty, the umbrellas were either broken or in disarray. Hotel staff was practically non existent. Breakfast was... edible, but cheap and old. The beach was so rocky it hurt without river shoes or sandals. Water was so brown and gross, I had a white water shirt, water turned it tan, still tan after several washings. This place is cheap for a reason, it is cheap. Spend more money somewhere ells for a much more enjoyable experience. We booked 3 nights, stayed one. got half a refund for the other two, which was more then I expected after being there 36 hours.

The stay was overall OK, we stayed 3 nights the bed s mattress were Horrible, may be they were the originals one that came with the building. we would sink in the middle, we didn’t have enough sleep and it hurts really bad we would wake up with a back pain. Don’t know if it was only in our room or all of them.
