This place is AWESOME! Turn of the century house and it's in great shape. The rooms are nicely renovated and super comfortable. 10 min walk to downtown restaurants, bars and shops. The owner Lee is super sweet and it was so nice of her to get me in last minute. I'll stay again and recommend to my coworker when he covers this area. 5 stars is not enough.
This is one of the best kept secret places near New Orleans, which is an easy day trip and and hour near all those old plantations. Breakfast was home made and delicious. Gluten free was an option, just ask. The home was huge and beautifully decorated. A very relaxing time.
My husband and I had a lovely time. The owner, Lee, was very sweet, helpful, and one heck of a cook! Her full southern style breakfasts were to die for! We had some lovely conversations, however she is not intrusive. We had a wonderfully private, romantic, and fun weekend. House was built in 1901, it is an interesting home to explore, rooms are spacious, and clean. We would love to visit again.

I had a wonderful weekend getaway at Hughes House. One of the best B & B's I've ever stayed at and I've tried many all over the country. Miss Lee was very helpful & accomodating without being intrusive. I really enjoyed sipping a wine on the shady front porch & the swimming pool looked great - I'll have to come back in the summer months.nnMy room was big & comfortable like the 4 poster bed. Breakfast was fantastic & included in the room rate. FYI - the rates are very reasonable!nnI'd definitely recommend this place to stay.
