Horrible, very ran down. Only stayed 1 night then checked out and found a cabin to rent down the road. Staff was very nice and AC worked. However white sheet had stains on them. Smelt like lots of mold, through out the location. Cable was out for a week, which they did not tell me till my check in day. Floor tiles pilling, ceiling tiles falling. Hopefully they are just in process of remodel.... One can only hope.
The motel now is part of the Rodeway chain. It's family run and everyone there is super friendly and attentive. The prices are good. The beds are comfortable and the AC works well. If you and your family need a place to sleep while you're having fun at the lake, this is the spot. And, the motel is dog friendly. Big plus for me.
If your looking for a clean room, bed and hot shower and no amenities you found it for a great low price other than that if you need more amenities then stay somewhere else. Staff was awesome aspiring us with whatever we needed and very polite. They do have tv
Great place to stay. I arrived at my camp to find the air conditioning not working, it was 10:30 at night and we had our dog with us - couldn't contact anyone until we called Sabine Lake in and they answered and got us a room. I know this place had bad reviews in the past... Ignore them - earlier this year Ms. Barbara and her family took it over and they have repainted and cleaned up the place! Very reasonable rates - pet and fisherman friendly!!! Thanks go to Ms. Barbara and her sons (I was the one with the Big Brown dog).
OUR HOUSE WAS DESTROYED BY FIRE ANT THE INSURANCE COMPANY PUT US UP HERE. THE MANAGEMENT AND STAFF HAS BEEN MORE THAN HELPFUL IN EVERY WAY. THEY HAVE BEEN A GOD SEND FOR US. NOT ONLY HAVE THEY MET ALL OF OUT NEEDS THEY HAVE BECOME OUR FAMILY AND HELPED US ABOVE AND BEYOND ALL EXPECTATIONS.nnTHANK YOUnMANAGEMENT AND STAFF
